meet the principal
Hello Shark Family,
My name is Michael Burstein and I am excited to introduce myself as the principal for Louis A. Bohn Elementary. I quickly realized I had a passion for education when I started working with youth as a softball and football coach while earning my Bachelor's degree in Kinesiology. I began my teaching career at an elementary school in Vallejo where I also managed the athletics program. I learned very early how important it is for students to have a positive role model they can trust and the impact dedicated administrators can have on a school and it’s community which is why I decided to start my career in school leadership.
Although the current power outages in San Joaquin County have not impacted our ability to provide online instruction at this time, we understand it could impact some students’ ability to access their online classes.
Teachers will be reaching out to their students with updated information and posting class materials online for students who are unable to attend their classes due to the power outages and students may be given extensions to complete their assignments.
With the current heatwave and the potential for future outages, we want to remind our students and families of the following tips to help you during the current or future outages.
